James is originally from Green Pond, New Jersey. He started playing guitar at the age of 12 when he decided on an acoustic guitar instead of an electric scooter for Christmas. For the next 15 years, James would record, perform, and tour up and down the east coast. The sound of this group came into full five piece strength when James was added during the fall of 2014. James was living with bass player, Mark Minoogian, and drummer, Fred Williams, in New York when he was recommended to sit in on an upcoming gig. His first show with the band was at The Bitter End and from that point on, Adam wanted him to be a permanent part of every live show. James' influence from guitar players like Nels Cline, Walter Becker, Nile Rodgers, and Johnny Marr have made him a skilled, tasteful, lead guitar player. Adam's upcoming album, What This Love Can Be EP, will be the first time that James has played in the studio with "The Soul" and the band believes that you, the listener, will not be disappointed.
